To visit Berlin is a marvellous experience for all our senses. His modern architecture surprises for his classic touch and takes you to anciently times, his important music auditoriums and astonishing shows takes you dreaming with a climax almost unsurpassed.

His Lord Major, Klaus Wowereit in June 2001 surprised the public opinion assuring “I am gay, and this does not change anything”. After this statement he started his political career in the Town Hall.

But it is good to know that as far as the XVIII siècle there were well known gays. Friederich the Great, the most learned and popular Prussian king died without offprings just because he was reluctant to have relation with the opposite sex. His heir was a nephew.

Since then this borough has developed in a new sector for homosexuals, bars, clubs and saunas. The city east part calls visitors for his pleasant and gaily climax.

KREUZBERG

In Oranienstrasse and am Mehringdamm are the longest and most amusing nights. During summer take place crazy  “fiestas”  well known in town.

SCHÖNEBERG

On Motzstrasse, Kleiststrasse and Martin Luther King Strasse you find out the biggest number of pubs and bars.

NEUKÖLLN

Near to Hermannsplatz we meet several cozy locals.

We close our recommendations with an advice regarding to those places to avoid to visit. Those places are far away from the city center, they have a more conservative spirit and become less tolerant. In special the old East Berlin, were the hard right party is more represented. Couples of the same sex should avoid this area.
