A gay hooker.

Jane ran into hot water earlier this year when he said that the character he portrays in the series Hung, a high class male prostitute, would never be involved with another man or else he would walk off the show. Now it seems that while Jane’s character will never have that experience, Jane himself certainly has.

Recounting his days as an 18-year-old homeless kid in Los Angeles Jane said: ” I wasn’t averse to going down to Santa Monica Boulevard and letting a guy buy me a sandwich. Know what I mean?” Umm, kind of but please, please go on Thomas…

“You’re a lot more open to experimentation as a young man. And for me, being a young artist and broke in Los Angeles, I was exploring my sexual identity.”

As if that is not painting a clear enough picture, Jane adds: “I think up to a point it’s a choice. But I’ll tell you what — it’s not a choice until you’re open enough to experience both male and female sexuality. Until you’ve tasted the food, you don’t know whether you’ll like it or not, as my mom always said.”

Safe to say there are surely plenty of gay men who wish Jane had preferred the taste of their food.

‘It Gets Better’ is a YouTube channel where everyone from president Obama to Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga, Kathy Griffin and even Woody from Toy Story together with scores of ordinary people post messages of hope to gay teenagers. A UK spin-off ‘It Gets Better, Today’ has featured prime minister David Cameron and home secretary Theresa May.

The channel was initiated by Dan Savage, a writer and columnist, who acted as an agony uncle to depressed gay young people through his column ‘Savage Love’.

His original video, featured him and his partner Terry recount their experiences of being bullied and urge youngsters that life does get better. It has now been viewed more than 1.3 million times.

At the time, Mr Savage said: “When a gay teenager commits suicide, it’s because he can’t picture a life for himself that’s filled with joy and family and pleasure and is worth sticking around for.

“So I felt it was really important that, as gay adults, we show them that our lives are good and happy and healthy and that there’s a life worth sticking around for after high school.

“I don’t want faggots walking around Havana—sooner or later I’m going to throw you all in jail after I exhaust all the warnings I’m going to give you,” said Police Capt. Ángel of the Reina district, between San Nicolás and Rayo Streets, after he arrested 58 young people for homosexuality, according to José Luis, an HIV+ transvestite who was arrested four blocks from his home for being homosexual.

“When I got to the station and asked why I’d been detained, an officer tried to hit me—I’m not sure how I avoided it. During the day, I have no complaints, but at night it’s impossible for a transvestite to walk the streets. We live in a great state of fear on the streets. They come and detain you, just like that. And if you complain or defend yourself, it’s worse because they beat you.

The shaking way of life and lack of preparation to confront adversities or furstrations are the main reasons for such type of illness which hurt our society.

The depression is motivated by an alteration of the neuro system transmission in certain parts of our brain, such alteration can be produced
by several reasons, such as exhaustion, stress or speciphic cronic ilness.

We also talk about endogeneous depression, we reffer it to irregularities forced problably by genetic sources.

Though nobody could be sure that as a gays we suffer more depression status than heterosexuals, but it is possible to presume that intrinsecal reasons related to our sexual conditions, might made them more easily subjects of depression.

Otherwise, factors such as the social acceptance or, also, familiar; or perhaps our own reluctance to accept themselves could create frustration, and occassionally create a first step of depression.

Other source of such inicial inestability conducting to the illness are sentimental feelings, emotional ones, or our high sensibility which could conclude in “pathological sadness”.

To visit an especialist person is highly reccomended, almost compulsory when it becomes difficult to follow your usual path of life or when your spirits are below normal status.

Never should take antidepressives without medical advice and prescription, because such type of medicines could be highly damaging and risky without proper medical control.
