Vatican Rocked By Gay Sex Scandal
The Vatican has found itself embroiled in a gay sex scandal, after the member of an elite Vatican choir was dismissed for allegedly obtaining male prostitutes for a papal usher.
According to The Guardian, Police were listening on a wiretap, when they caught Angelo Balducci, a Gentleman of His Holiness, allegedly negotiating with Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, a 29-year-old Vatican chorister, “over the specific physical details of men he wanted brought to him”.
The transcripts suggest that in 2008, Ehiem organised at least ten men for Balducci, including “two black Cuban lads”, a former male model from Naples, and a rugby player from Rome.
The allegations have been an embarrassing blow for the Vatican, and they have not yet commented publicly.
Balducci is a senior Italian government official, who was arrested on 10 February on suspicion of corruption.
In one conversation, Ehiem was overheard telling Balducci: “I saw your call when I was in the Vatican, because I was doing rehearsals… in the choir… in St Peter’s.” He then suggests Balducci meet a man who he describes is “two metres tall… 97 kilos… aged 33, completely active.”
Ehiem has since given an interview with Panorama magazine, in which he claimed that he had known Balducci for over a decade. “He asked me if I could procure other men for him. He told me he was married and that I had to do it in great secrecy,” said Ehiem.
